Hailing from St Michaels MD not Beaufort NC, he has been riding for over 10 years between fixed, road and gravel. Adventure is his favorite type of riding but despite his wanderlust, he has a competitive side that fuels the fire and a true need for speed! Croatan Buck Fifty is his favorite race based on being a local race and hosted by Ridge Supply who pushed him to ride harder by setting all the KOMs in the county. His ride of choice is his Rodeo labs Trail Donkey which he uses for races, riding and bike-packing!
Ian Robinson
Vice President
Ian has been a huge part of the club since joining in 2013 and starting the Virginia Beach Chapter. He got started riding fixed gears competing and winning local alley cats. Since that time he has grown to love gravel, road and bike-packing as well as racing the past three years. Despite having a literal broken back, he has continued to push himself to ride as much as possible as well as pushing the team and club. He was introduced to gravel races in 2019 at the Croatan Buck Fifty and caught the bug. He had the biggest smile after finishing that race and hasn't looked back since. He has race several gravel races since that time in the Mid-Atlantic region and signed up for more this year. Ian helps keep a tight ship and make sure the team and club are running smoothly.
Sam Bell
Sam aka "wildcard" and the Outsiders Road Captain, is the kind of guy you call up and say want to go ride with no expectations you end up on the gnarliest epic ride! The dude never cracks and just keeps getting stronger. No road left unridden, no beer left unopened! Same fell in love with exploring Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana by bike. He spent a lot of time riding around SLC to school and work. His first gravel race was in 2017 and he hasn't stopped since. He moved back to Beaufort in 2019 and quickly found his second family with the Outsiders. Being part of the Team definitely helped inspire him to be a part of the community and take his abilities to the next level. Sam loves all bikes and in his free time runs a repair shop and loves to do custom builds.
Nathan Greenaway
Nate is one of the newest members of the club, he hit the ground running! He has set the bar high for prospects in way of willingness and dedication to riding and building. It's rad to watch your friends and family grow, this kids got a fire and time to craft it. Stoked for the future and rides with ya bunk! Nate grew up skateboarding and riding bikes but started to take it seriously about a year and some change ago. He fell in love with racing and the culture after his first race. His favorite race is Gravista.
Patrick Kelly
He has been an outsiders member since 2016 and has brought a certain charisma to the club ever since. He started to take cycling seriously after riding the 20 in the Croatan Buck Fifty back in 2019. He grew up riding bikes around the neighborhood and town but didn't catch the bug until later in life. He and his family live in Coastal NC where they enjoy getting outside and enjoying the fresh air. He works for the local schools and enjoys water sports and cycling in the summer. Like a true wildman, Pat can be found out in the wilderness doing gravel rides and adventuring out with the club. He is no stranger from riding and has ridden just about every inch of road in our county. Pat has gained a lot of self confidence on his bike and has continues to set the bar and push himself.
